Diego Gisbert Llorens - Yogo Haruto
What can I say this might be one of my favorites in L5R right now. He looks so wicked and powerful, his flavor text really sums him up nicely for what we had in mind, an utterly ruthless shugenja General. His mask is practically the Yogo family mon, his sword ablaze he’s like some sort of demon crawled out of jigoku into some nice clothing and out to kill everyone.
Shen Fei - Bayushi Kasumi
This is my second or third favorite in the set. Great armor, great moment of her just finishing bringing down her sword for a powerful cut. Dust, banners, motion, all captured here. The rag dolling of her enemy is subtle but when you see it you realize that is a dead guy dropping to the ground. Shen really proved himself in this set.
Adam Schumpert - Bayushi Nitoshi
So we wanted to show off his more social manipulation sociopath courtier side. He has some well known guests in the background as well. He carries his katana blade up to show his “peaceful” intent.
Edwin David - Yogo Ugimori
Isuardi Therianto - Yogo Heijin
There is a bitter irony to a Yogo Yojimbo as I am sure all you pick up on. I really think of this guy as a walking disaster of a Yojimbo, maybe he should have his own wacky anime series…hmm.
Isuardi Therianto - Soshi Kodanshi
Wenjuinn - Shosuro Hawado
I asked Wenjuinn to show off just a touch of Hawado’s face as she battles a Goju. I wanted to show she was infact human, and she is just a total bad ass. I have long enjoyed the idea of the two sides of ninjas just killing each other off in the streets and roof tops at night and hiding the bodies to mask a night war. In my mind Hawado is what goju tell their creepy goju children to scare them at night.
Diego Gisbert Llorens - Bayushi Shibata
Shibata was heavily influenced by the way of the Scorpion book cover. Shibata lounges and enjoys the comforts his life has earned him, he is sly and cunning, his ability works regardless of where he is as he extends influence in many places.
Greg Lambrakis - Bayushi Mugoshi
Mugoshi is all about making you question whats right, he’s a courtier who dresses as a samurai to intimidate, he’s overconfident, he is slanderous, he is the big lie that is hard to image they could possibly be lying.
Jake Murray - Bayushi Makubesu
Makubesy turned out fantastically. There is an elegance and an air of authority that he exudes I think. He feels like a character right out of a Japanese samurai crime drama. Jake did a knock out job on this one
