Mario Wibisono - Fubuko
I was tired of not seeing female spider Kensai so I tossed it to Mario. We’ve been affectionately calling her the battle nun. Her description was basically to have her being a whirling dervish of death and blades.

Diego Gisbert Llorens - Yogo Haruto
What can I say this might be one of my favorites in L5R right now. He looks so wicked and powerful, his flavor text really sums him up nicely for what we had in mind, an utterly ruthless shugenja General. His mask is practically the Yogo family mon, his sword ablaze he’s like some sort of demon crawled out of jigoku into some nice clothing and out to kill everyone.
Diego Gisbert Llorens - Shiba Mitsushen
Inspired from a Kurosawa film, Mitsushen is a brilliant piece. The snow, the banners, the light all show a hero. With the Shiba family mon on his war fan, clan symbols everywhere, this is what I love about Diego he goes and finds the little symbols that really bring a piece together.
Shen Fei - Bayushi Kasumi
This is my second or third favorite in the set. Great armor, great moment of her just finishing bringing down her sword for a powerful cut. Dust, banners, motion, all captured here. The rag dolling of her enemy is subtle but when you see it you realize that is a dead guy dropping to the ground. Shen really proved himself in this set.
Shen Fei - Shiba Jikaro
Shen was new at the time but he’d already put out some great illustrations we took a small risk and had him do some main characters for the set. Both turned out just wonderfully. Jikaro really gets the intensity and fray of a battle around him.
Heather Kreiter - Mirumoto Shikei
Needed a Kensei champion to have both blades out, it was a moral imperative.
